Dogs need exercise. Not once a day, but spread throughout the day — short bursts of energy that keep the mind sharp and the muscles active. The problem: you are not always home, and when you do get home you are tired. An automatic ball launcher Premium XL solves that without you having to be actively involved.

The Premium XL is our largest and most powerful version. Suitable for outdoors and indoors with sufficient space, works with standard tennis balls and gives your dog playtime at their own pace — without you having to throw a single ball.

🎾

How it works: the dog drops the ball into the opening. The launcher shoots it back at one of three distances. The dog fetches it and starts again. Once set up, you don’t need to do anything else.

Why automatic ball launcher Premium XL and not the standard version?

Feature Standard Premium XL
Throwing distance 3–5 metres ✓ 3–10 metres (3 adjustable)
Suitable for Small dogs ✓ All breeds up to labrador size
Outdoor use Limited (wind) ✓ Fully outdoor-proof
Ball magazine 3 balls ✓ 5 balls at once
Automatic reload No ✓ Yes — dog drops ball back, launcher shoots automatically
Rest break setting No ✓ Adjustable (1–60 min) — prevents overexertion

How to train your dog in 4 steps

  1. Let the dog get familiar with the launcher without it firing Turn the launcher on at the lowest setting and let the dog sniff freely around it. No forcing — most dogs are comfortable with the device within 5 minutes.
  2. Launch the first balls yourself and reward immediately Let the launcher fire a few balls while you are present and encourage the dog to fetch. Reward returning the ball with a treat — the dog learns: ball back = good things.
  3. Guide the dog to drop the ball into the opening itself Do this 3–5 times with your hand over the dog’s. After a few sessions most dogs understand the pattern — ball in opening = ball comes back.
  4. Give more freedom and step back gradually Once the dog understands the routine, move further and further away. Most dogs play completely independently after 2–3 training sessions. Then set the rest break to prevent overexertion.

Frequently asked questions

Which dogs is the Premium XL suitable for?
The Premium XL works for dogs from terrier size up to labrador. For small breeds (chihuahua, maltese) we recommend the standard version — it throws less far and is less intimidating. For retrievers, spaniels and shepherds the Premium XL is the ideal choice.
Is the automatic ball launcher Premium XL safe when I am not home?
Yes, as long as you set the rest break and the environment is safe (no obstacles in the throwing direction). Set the rest break to at least 15 minutes per hour to prevent overexertion. Never let the dog play for more than 2 hours uninterrupted — even automatic play requires energy.
Which balls can I use?
Standard tennis balls (6.5 cm diameter) work best. The included balls are specially BPA-free and more saliva-resistant than regular tennis balls. Do not use hard rubber balls or balls with a diameter above 7 cm — they do not fit in the magazine.
Can I use the launcher indoors as well?
Yes, set it to the shortest throwing distance (3 metres) and ensure at least 5 metres of clear space. A long hallway or large living room works well. Avoid use on slippery floors where the dog could slide — place a non-slip mat at the catching spot.
Water fountains

Make sure your dog drinks enough after playing

An active dog needs more water. A water fountain with running water encourages drinking after exercise — suitable for both cats and dogs.
