No, it is better for a kitten and a senior cat not to share the same litter tray. The rule of thumb is: one tray per cat, plus one extra. With two cats, that means three trays. This prevents territorial tension, soiling, and stress – particularly for the senior cat, who is more sensitive to hygiene issues.
