Why a kitten and an adult cat should not eat together
Kitten food contains more calories, more protein and more calcium than food for adult cats. That's not a marketing trick, but a physiological necessity.
Meal frequency also differs. A kitten has a small stomach and needs 3 to 4 meals per day. An adult cat is fed 2 to 3 times per day.

Do you have three or more cats? The guideline: one feeder per cat, plus one extra.
The transition from kitten food to adult food
Around the twelfth month a cat is fully grown and you switch to adult food. The transition is done gradually, over two to four weeks.
